Finding Ancestors on Passenger Lists of Ships to Grosse Ile Quebec

Grosse Ile Quebec was an inspection and quarantine station for immigrants to Canada from 1815-1941. Two-thirds of the immigrants were from Ireland. The Great Famine of Ireland, which lasted from 1845 to 1848-1849, reached a climax in 1847. Over 5,124 immigrants were buried at Grosse Īle that year.
